Key facts about the exam

DELF B1 is the third level of the Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française. Issued by France Éducation International. Internationally recognized, it certifies an intermediate level of French.
Corresponds to CEFR level B1. Assesses the four language skills. The tests last around 1h45 in total, with a 15-minute oral interview.
Registration with approved centers, variable costs. One-day examination, group and individual tests. Score out of 100, minimum 50/100 to pass.
Demonstrates autonomy in communicating in French. Often required for admission to French-speaking universities. May be required to obtain French nationality.
