    Preparing for the DELF A2 exam

    Key facts about the exam

    DELF A2 is the second level of the Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française. Also issued by France Éducation International (ex-CIEP). Internationally recognized, it certifies an elementary level of French.
    Corresponds to CEFR level A2. Assesses all four language skills. Tests last around 1h40 in total, with an oral interview lasting 6-8 minutes.
    Registration at approved centers, fees vary by country. One-day examination, group and individual tests. Score out of 100, minimum 50/100 for diploma.
    Demonstrates ability to communicate in simple everyday situations. May be required for certain visa or French nationality applications. Facilitates integration into a French-speaking environment for longer stays.
